underwhelming stay, needs improvement.

the room was clean.
I found that the decor seemed quite dated! the bathroom taps leaked during use and water sprayed when showering. i also wasn't asked about my stay upon checkout. The staff member took the key and said thanks. twice.

Excellent Stay

The breakfast selection was great, with a lot of different items. The food tasted great and was presented very well. I also appreciated that the rooms included a nespresso machine. It was a very nice touch. The Roberts radio was a nice extra.
I found that the restaurant closed relatively early. It closed at 8 pm, which limited my dining time. This was the only downside to my stay.

Bar service proved friendly and efficient, even during busy times. The evening meal featured excellent and attentive service. Breakfast had a perfect table with lovely views. Checkout process was efficient and friendly.
The extractor fan wasn't working. I did try mentioning the issue. Their reply was, 'it's pretty hard getting maintenance on a building this old'. They seemed to be struggling to action the maintenance required.
